We’re 10 minutes from major shopping areas in Marion and Cedar Rapids and 35 minutes from The Eastern Iowa Airport.

It’s About Education
Th e Springville Community School District is conveniently located right in Springville. Th e teachers and administration strive to provide a well-rounded K-12 education to over 400 students. Th e school’s smaller scale and low student to teacher ratio allows teachers and school staff to know each student thereby maximizing educational growth and development.
Student Success: Academics
Springville offers a state accredited variety of classes including the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Spanish and many other unique educational opportunities. Our school partners with Kirkwood Community College to off er additional career and academic courses. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits in an array of subject matters. Students can challenge themselves by participating in TAG (Talented and Gifted Program) or joining small teams that enter specialized competitions such as National History Day or Mock Trial competitions. Recently a team of 9 middle school students competed in the LEGO® League state championship in Ames for LEGO robotics.
Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities. Th ere are no limited roosters or other restrictions to participation. Springville is still a place where you’ll see football players performing at half-time in the marching band!
Athletic activities include baseball, softball, basketball, track, volleyball, cheerleading, dance, cross country, golf, and football. Students can also compete in soccer, swimming and wrestling as a result of our partnering with other area schools. Fine arts activities include theatre, speech, vocal, and instrumental music.
Success Due to an Early Start
Developing talents and skills early in a child’s life has been an essential part of the success of Springville school’s programs. In the fifth grade children are able to start learning to play instrumenets and perform in band concerts.
Springville Youth Sports offers soccer, softball, t-ball and baseball programs for children in preschool through sixth grade.
Other youth sports opportunities include flag-football and basketball.

Springville Community Schools are committed to providing a 21st century education for our students. We currently have a 3:1 ratio of computers to students, and a variety of other technologies and software programs in the class room.
